It's clear that people who maintain focus on long-term goals can achieve much bigger things than those who jump from idea to idea, or those who give up after the slightest setback.
Creative potential should be reinforced as you go trough your life. Your creativity, should stand the test of time. Pablo Picasso said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up." No one is born a failiure but as you go trough your life, responsibilities start adding up, and the next thing you experience is as if circumstances are conspiring against you. So, how can you keep focus on long-term goals?
Start with mental habits that will help you be an innovator for life - forming habits now that are going to help you later on. Here are a couple of habits that you may try to master:
Now it is time to set your specific, long-term goals for the important areas of your life, such as career, family, finances, and so on. Then, look over these goals. How do they make you feel? If you do not feel excited about these goals, If not, take these goals off the list, or revise them so that they move you towards something that really matters to you. Treat your goals like recipes. Remember to take it one step at a time.
In a nutshell, good, healthy mental habits is the cornerstones of achieving personal success. Treat life as an experiment, be willing to fail and learn from your mistakes. You should have confidence in what you know well, but must know that you will never be to old to learn something new. Remember to use your whole brain and make the most of all opportunities.
