Self-confident people are admired by, and also motivate others. They face their fears and know that no matter what obstacles come their way, they have the capacity to overcome them. Self-confident people tend to see their lives in a favourable light, even when things aren't going so well. Confidence is not something that can be learned like a set of rules; confidence is a state of mind. Confidence comes from acceptance of your own body and mind, and the belief in your own abilities. Low-confidence can be a result of many factors including fear of the unknown, criticism, being unhappy with own appearance, poor time-management, lack of knowledge, previous failure, and so on. People with long-term low self self confidence issues generally see the world as a hostile place and themselves as its victim. As a result, they miss out on experiences and opportunities, and feel helpless about changing things. There are a number of simple things that anyone can do to boost his or her self-confidence. In conclusion, the most important thing is the belief that you can be better. You play a huge part in your happiness, and you can greatly increase it by taking action and changing your attitude toward yourself. You are responsible for yourself. Your happiness (or your misery) depend in a great part upon what you tell yourself and what you choose to believe and what not.
