All negative thinking is fear-based and can become very dangerous if it goes on day-after-day as then stress is created which eventually damage the body and mind, resulting in disease, illness, and depression. Depression, in fact, manifest in pessimistic thinking long before it creates any other of its symptoms. This is why you should understand how critical the quality of your thoughts is to prevent depression, disease and all the other negative things that manifest with it. We cannot always control how we feel, but we can always control what we think.

​Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from living in the moment. The more you allow your negative thoughts, the more dangerous they become. One small negative thought can turn into a gigantic snowball. Choose your thoughts wisely. A Slight positive thought can have the same effect - growing into a magnificent good outcome! Repeatedly choose your words and thoughts carefully, have good and positive intentions.  Be attentive to what you are saying to yourself and others, and what you are asking of life every day.
 
Positive thinking is when the human mind is trained to take authority over its thought process by changing a perceived reality trough repeated positive statements. Positive thinking is an exercise of willingly choosing positive emotions and applying them and beliefs you may have to create a better outlook on life. Remember, the brain generates reality as much as it processes incoming information - thus what you believe in your subconscious mind, will eventually come to the surface. Good things, or bad, which will change the direction of your life accordingly.

​Do you choose to be bitter or better?
​Here are 6 ways to overcome negative thinking:

1) Hold on to your faith in God. Faith is the only way we can withstand the worst unexpected events in our lives even if we don’t understand it ourselves, keeping us optimistic.
 
2) Stop thinking in extremes: Do not think about the future in terms of dramatic disasters and failures. Accept that most of life consists of gray areas as well; it is not always black or white.
 
3) Avoid the snowball effect: If having negative thoughts, don’t nurture it, don’t grow them bigger and over generalize it but instead focus on how you should deal with these new circumstances in your life.
 
4) Don’t minimize the positive: Continuous negative thoughts will stop you from seeing the positive when it does happen. Do not minimize your successes! Remember that setbacks are only temporarily.
 
5) Focus outwards: By adding positivity to another person’s life, you too can start to feel better and more optimistic again. Be kind, give compliments, and just be there.
 
6) Write down your positive affirmations, read it. After you start reading it, you should say it. When you say it, you hear it. When you hear it, you start believing it. When you believe it, circumstances start changing.
