To achieve success, you first need to change your beliefs and concepts and get rid of the negative. This process is called self- reflection, as discussed here. After you have gone through this self reflecting process on your life, it’s time to decide how satisfied you are in your life’s different areas and how balanced your life currently is. Here are a couple of questions to ask yourself. Do you know what you are spending your energy and time on? How satisfied are you in life’s different areas? Why does your life looks the way it does? What would you like your life to look like? How can you make this happen? Life has many different categories, you may add or subtract to the list according to your own circumstances but i would like to name a few of the mayor categories of life:
The "where am i now" Questionnaire. After completed the below list, you will have a representation of your satisfaction with life. You will quickly identify any gaps between where you are now and where you want to be.
How to interpret your score: If you have 8-10 in any area, congratulations! You are very satisfied in this particular area. It is important to maintain it this way. If you have 5-7 in certain areas, you are reasonably satisfied in this particular area but there is definitely opportunity to explore ideas to move up the scale. If you have 0-4 in certain areas, you are not very satisfied in this particular area and you will need to explore ways of enhancing your satisfaction here. This is the areas where you can grow the most and get the most value! Take action! Now that you know what your problem areas are, you need to gain understanding as to why this is so. Where should you be spending your time and energy to move forward?
The key is to find the balance in your life, It's about moving forward, challenging yourself and pushing your boundaries to expand your Score while keeping a balance. How effective are you going to be in life if you cannot move forward in a balanced way? Through reflection, you have now identified your biggest gaps between where you are now and where you would like to be. Commit to yourself, taking action NOW!
